Wellness has been a lifelong journey for me.
I've spent much of my life trying to lose weight. In fact, I've lost more than 50 pounds at least five different times. My highest weight was 361 pounds, and while many people assume weight loss is always about appearance, that wasn't my story.
Even at my highest weight, I was fortunate to have no major health concerns. No diabetes. No high cholesterol. No heart disease. I was grateful for that. But I also understood that as I got older, carrying excess weight would eventually make it harder to maintain the quality of life I wanted.
One day, I made a promise to myself. At 35, I decided that while I may have been healthy, I did not want to remain overweight beyond the age of 35. That commitment became the foundation for what would eventually become ROWFit35, a wellness community built around accountability, movement, and the belief that it's never too late to invest in yourself.
The name still holds meaning today. I'm well beyond 35 now, and while I've overcome that particular milestone, the work continues. Wellness isn't something you achieve once and keep forever. It's a lifelong commitment to showing up for yourself day after day.
My dedication to health and fitness became so important to me that I earned certifications as a Group Fitness Instructor and a Licensed Zumba Instructor. Not because I had all the answers, but because I wanted to learn more, move more, and inspire others to do the same.
I didn't begin this journey because I thought I looked bad. I began it because I wanted to invest in my future.
Today, I have lost more than 175 pounds, but the number on the scale is only part of the story. Wellness is about strength, mobility, consistency, resilience, and making choices that support the life you want to live. It is about showing up for yourself, even when progress isn't perfect.
This page is a collection of fitness videos, wellness content, and moments from my journey. Some were created years ago. Some reflect where I am today. Together, they tell the story of someone who has never stopped trying, never stopped learning, and never stopped believing that it's possible to become healthier tomorrow than you were yesterday.
